How to set up your Linkedin Profile Certification Integration In Thinkific
Step 1 – Get Your Linkedin Company ID Number
You’ll need to locate your Linkedin Company ID Number to add into the app so we can link certifications to your Linkedin Company Page. Watch this video to learn how to get your Linkedin Company ID Number (your company ID is unique to you and will be different from the one shown in the video!)
Step 2 – Add The Section To your Thinkific Student Certificate Page.
You’ll need to add the Linkedin Profile Certification Integration section to your Thinkific Student Certificate Page in the page editor. You will need to add your Linkedin Company ID number into the app (this must be a valid ID). You can optionally choose to customise the share panel and the share buttons. Watch this video to learn how to do this.
That’s it!
Now you’ve installed the Linkedin Profile Certification Integration it will be active on all standard certificates in your Thinkific school, including all previously issued certificates. You can test it out on your own certifications, then send an email to all your students letting them know they can start adding their certifications to their Linkedin profile!

Yes, when you add the Linkedin Profile Certification Sharing section to your Student Certificate Page in Thinkific, it will add the sharing bar to all native Thinkific certificates that have been issued in the past and all native Thinkific certificates that are issued in the future.
You can create a test course with one text lesson and assign a certificate to this test course. Enroll yourself as a student on the test course and complete the course and receive your certificate. You will be able to test all the sharing functionality in the same way as a student would.
Make sure your Linkedin Company ID number is correct and has been entered into the settings of this page section. (see the video on this page on how to locate your Linkedin Company ID number). If your ID number is incorrect or has not been entered your certifications may be attributed to the wrong school or you may get an error when sharing.
This integration only works with certificates issued through Thinkific’s own native built in certificate functionality. It does not operate with external third party certification providers.
