Thinkific Plus 'In Progress' Student Data Migration From A Previous LMS

When you’re moving to Thinkific Plus, your Thinkific account management team are only able to migrate student data from your previous LMS that have course progress of either 0% or 100%.
You might have a big chunk of students that are ‘in progress’ in your previous LMS that have partial progress, which can’t currently be directly migrated by the Thinkific team.
The solution!
Courseprofs has developed an exclusive ‘In Progress Migration’ service that will solve this challenge. We can move your in progress student data from your previous LMS to Thinkific (subject to your data being exportable from your previous LMS in a format we can work with).
What does the Thinkific In Progress Migration Service Offer?
- We can migrate ‘In Progress’ student data from your previous LMS to Thinkific Plus.
- ‘In Progress’ data is defined as students who have a progress of > 0% (not started) and less than 100% (completed).
- Currently we can migrate progress data for individual course lessons the student has completed and Quizzes (multiple choice questions only).
- You will need to be able to export the data from your previous LMS in a format that indicates which individual lessons in your previous LMS each student has completed, and a full set of correct answers to the quizzes will need to be supplied.
- We will analyse your previous LMS student data export file (at no cost) before undertaking work with this migration service to verify the data can be successfully migrated and access to the course on your previous LMS.
- When we have analysed your data export file and agreed to take on the in progress migration we will give a final accurate quote (for example if no-one in your data set has completed anything past 50% of your course your quote may be lower than the initial estimate) and offer a contract of work to be signed by both parties.
- We will setup a ‘skeleton course’ for the migration inside Thinkific with containers for each lesson. Curriculums & lessons cannot be modified once the migration period has started. We will set up any quizzes required for the migration to complete successfully, which also cannot be modified once the migration period has started. This ‘Skeleton Course’ can be populated with content by the client after the student migration has taken place.
- Turnaround times for completing the in progress migration will depend on the number of courses and size of courses.
How much does the Thinkific In Progress Migration Service Cost?
- The cost of the ‘In Progress’ migration depends on the number of courses you have set up, the number of lessons you have in each course, and the number of students you want to migrate ‘in progress’ data for.
- We charge a fixed fee per course, lesson and quiz to set up the migration service and a per student fee for each individual student that needs their progress data migrating.
- Payment terms are 50% deposit payable in advance upon signing the contract of work with the remaining 50% payable upon completion of the ‘in progress’ migration.
